Maintenance:
after use in combination with food, clean with a damp cloth and pat dry; be sure to let it cool sufficiently before cleaning!
Remove the remains with warm water and a soft brush or green sponge, clean again, pat dry with paper or clean cloth, allow to dry sufficiently before next use (best 24 hours).
Please note: do not make the salt stone too wet, as this may cause larger cracks in the salt stone. the antimicrobial properties of salt mean that no detergent is required for thorough cleaning.
Naturally, the salt stones have a low porosity and approximately no residual moisture (0.26%), making these salt plates suitable for freezing and heating to high temperatures (up to 300° C). FYI: Salt melts at about 800°C
